Prayer Quilt Ministry

We, in the Prayer Quilt Ministry (PQM), believe in the power of prayer to comfort in times of distress and need. PQM was founded to make quilts for anyone who needs prayer. The knots that are tied into the quilts provide a tangible form of prayer and a sign of God’s grace and comfort. Quilt requests must originate from members or regular attendees of Foothills United Methodist Church and are free to anyone who needs one. All that is required is that the person agrees to accept the quilt and communicates what they would like to have prayer for. This ministry includes about 15-20 Foothills' women and men, and many others from churches in the community. PQM holds monthly workshops.
To request a Prayer Quilt, or for more information, call Theresa Erb in the church office at 619-670-4009. To submit a Prayer Request, please click here.
