Music Ministries for Youth and Children

Vocal choirs are designed to develop musicianship, offer worship experience and community service to children in grades 1-5 and for youth in grades 6-12. Rehearsal times are listed below.

Children’s choirs start September 14!

Don’t let your child miss the start of another great choir year with the Alleluia Singers and Sounds of Joy. Both choirs meet at 4:45 p.m. in the Choir Room on Wednesdays.  Alleluia Singers is for children in grades one and two. Sounds of Joy is for children in grades three, four and five.  This experience provides a mid-week opportunity for continuing their faith growth while learning the basic concepts of music reading and singing skills with their friends. It is a wonderful preparation for private lessons in their future. It also gives them a tangible role in the life of their church. A Cherub Choir experience (four and five year olds) will be offered soon.

Sound Faith moves to Sunday nights!  5:00 p.m. starting September 11

Our youth choir rehearsal will be moving to Sunday nights just before Youth Group (FUMY), beginning Sunday, September 11. We will meet in the sanctuary and/or choir room and then have a snack supper before FUMY starts at 6:00 p.m. Any youth in grades six through twelve are invited to come. There is no audition required. Do you play an instrument: drums, guitar, sax . . .? We could use your help, too.

GENESIS RINGERS starts on September 11 at 11:00 a.m.

Be part of this children’s bell choir. Any young person in grades two through five is encouraged to give bell ringing a try. The bell choir meets on Sunday mornings from 11:00 to noon in the Bell Room. Linda Cree is the director. Children do not have to know how to read music if they are joining for the first time. Call the church office, 670-4009, for more information.
