Financial Peace University
9 session course, Begins April 4
Tuesdays 6:30 pm in King Hall

Watch a preview of what FPU is all about here. This life-changing class is taught by Dave Ramsey and the FPU teaching team on video and coordinated by John Kolb and Linda Miller. It will help you achieve your financial goals by showing you how to eliminate debt, save for the future, and give like never before. You will be challenged and motivated to make a plan for your money and change your family tree forever. Many people at Foothills have taken the course and have found financial peace in their lives.

Relax, Release, Renew

Come explore simple techniques that are designed to help you move forward on your journey to wellness! They can help increase relaxation, reduce pain and anxiety, release trapped emotions, and improve your overall well-being. They are drawn from many types of alternative healing techniques used in hospitals and hospice settings that relieve pain as well as soothe the body, mind and spirit. Therapeutic Bereavement Support Group
Thursdays, 6-7:30 pm, March 2nd - 30th in Pastor Jeanette's office
Group led by Diane Louise

A five-week series utilizing psychotherapy, creative expression, and experiential modalities about the grieving process. It is designed to provide a safe place to express feelings, while receiving and giving hope to others who are also on their grief journey. The group is facilitated by Diane Louise, MA-MFTI, who earned her master’s degree at Bethel Seminary San Diego and works in private practice at the Center for Enriching Relationships. Cost for the group is $20 per session, or $80 for the entire 5-week series when paid on the first meeting. It is not required for participants to attend all 5 sessions. Seeker's Class
Monthly, on the 3rd Wednesday at 6:30 pm, in the Disciple Room

Have you ever thought, I’d like to know what my pastor thinks concerning __________? The Seeker’s Class is your opportunity to raise the topic. Come prepared with a question or topic and the group will spend an engaging hour together. Each class is a stand-alone offering, so you can attend anytime and not be behind.

Bible in Between
Weekly adult Bible study, between church services on Sundays
9:35 am, Disciple Room Sundays October, November & December

Adult Bible Study that meets between first and second services every Sunday in the Disciple Room at 9:35 am. During October, November and December 2016 the Bible-in-Between study will be reading and discussing the minor prophets (or Twelve Prophets) of the Old Testament. Known as the Book of the Twelve, the material covers the lives of these prophets, the issues they faced in their own times and the vision they conveyed to God’s people. New participants are always welcome!

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Group
A Sunday morning small group open to everyone. Sundays 10 am - 11 am in the ​small group room.
The group is currently on break Nov.20 - Jan. 8
This group emphasizes fellowship along with enriching and refreshing our Bible knowledge. The class agenda (refreshments, fellowship, prayer, song, and Bible study) flows as an open forum as the group learns and shares their life experiences. The Bible study is led by William Teysko.

Moms Connect
For moms of infants through school age children.
Gatherings for encouragement, prayer and support are held on campus and off campus in homes or restaurants throughout the year on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6 pm. A variety of activities are enjoyed and free childcare is normally offered with reservation. Get more information from Carla Slater-Kettrick

Brewing Faith
Meets at 6:30 pm on the first Wednesday of the month
No brewing faith in april 2017
Meet with Pastor Eric and others from the Foothills area to have a deeper discussion in a casual setting on questions of faith. December's meet up will be held at Hooley's Irish Pub in Grossmont Center.

Caregiver's Support Group
Meets from 9:30 am to 11:30 am every second and fourth Wednesday in the youth lounge
A support group for caregivers of all kinds. Free respite care is available during the meetings which are facilitated by Sue Sullivan.

Young Adults Group
A fun fellowship group for those after high school to 25 years of age.
The group meets Tuesdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm in the youth lounge. Contact youth director, Sharon Russo for more information.

To promote environmental advocacy on campus and in the community.
The group meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 1:30 pm. Get more information about how Foothills and this group works towards caring for the Earth on their webpage.

Monday Morning Prayer Group
Help lift our prayer concerns with the help of pastoral staff.
This prayer group meets weekly on Mondays at 11 am on campus in the Sanctuary library. They gather in prayer, write cards and maintain the prayer list of the church.

Tuesday Morning Prayer Group
Lift our congregations prayers with a group that meets at a local breakfast diner.
A weekly prayer group meeting on Tuesdays at 8 am. They currently meet at the Rancho San Diego Denny's. They write cards to the prayer list and gather in fellowship as a group

Fellowship Walkers
Stay healthy in spirit and body with a weekly walking group.
This group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 am in the Rancho San Diego area to stay fit with fellowship.

Sarah-Ruth Circle
A monthly UMW book and faith discussion club.
This UMW circle meets on the first Wednesday of each month in the youth lounge at 9:30 am

Priscilla Circle
A UMW crafts circle creating small items for sale at Alternative Christmas and the rummage sales.
Meets the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, off site from 9:30 - 11 am. Contact Diane Vogan for more information.

Women's Small Group
Share joys and friendship while reading together.
A women's book and fellowship group meeting Wednesdays at 2 pm in the youth lounge
The group is on break for the month of August, returning September 7.

Women's Fellowship Group
Develop new friendships and mature in Christian faith while looking towards new chapters in life.
A small group for women mostly 55 and older. Meetings are Wednesdays at 4 pm in the Disciple Room.

People of Purpose Book Group
A small group studying various faith-based books.
People of Purpose is a pretty large small group meeting on Thursday evenings at 7pm in the Disciple Room. Contact Carol Conklin to see about taking part.

Create sleeping mats for the homeless out of plastic bags.
Consider joining this fantastic ministry that uses crochet skills with non-reusable materials to help the environment and provide comfort to those who need it the most. Meets monthly on the second Saturday in the Disciple Room. Contact Jeremy Nikodym to see how you can get involved.

The TLC Group
This group visits homebound and injured members, providing care, support and love.
This group is always in need of caring volunteers. They meet monthly on the third Thursday in the Conference Room. Contact Martha Kogle to be a part of it.

Prayer Quilt Ministry
Create quilts for those in our prayers.
The Prayer Quilt ministry brings the comfort of Foothills' prayers in a very tangible way. Read more about this incredible ministry of quilters on their webpage. Monthly meetings and quilting gatherings are held on the fourth Saturday of the month in the Disciple Room
