John: The Gospel of Light and Life
April 24 - June 5 at 6:15 in the Youth Lounge (except Memorial Day)
Led by Ellen Bertelsen and Pastor Jeanette
Experience a season of spiritual growth and life-changing renewal in Adam Hamilton’s six-week, DVD-series. You’ll follow the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus through the Gospel of John and understand the context of some of the best-known verses in the New Testament. The Gospel of John is the most deeply spiritual of the four gospels. This writing is filled with rich images and profound truths, but John notes that his aim in writing the gospel is that readers will not only believe in Jesus Christ, but that they “may have life in his name.”
2 Class options: Sundays 4 pm or Tuesdays 10 am
6 week course, begins June 18
What do I believe? For Christians and others seeking faith, some powerful answers to this question are expressed in the Apostles’ Creed: a historic statement of foundational Christian faith. In Adam Hamilton’s compelling book and six week study we will explore what we believe and why. Credo is the first word of the Apostles’ Creed in Latin. It means “I believe.” The word believe can have multiple layers of meaning and can be applied to everything from the silly to the profound. Sign up for this inspring small group course with the link at the top of the page. The Book is available from Abingdon Press through Cokesbury and/or Amazon.
The class will be held in the Disciple Room and led by Larry Ledford.
