The King Hall renovations completed just in time for the new year of KidsConnect to begin time. The fun and lively morning fellowship for kids has been a great opportunity for them to learn, grow and make friends and we are all excited for the new year of programming. This year, make sure your family is a part of the new series of FX gatherings in King Hall on the first Sunday of month at 11:45 am.

What's Happening at Foothills
A Rummage Sale is Coming!      
Start cleaning and putting all your unwanteds in a pile, because you can bring them all to the church beginning October 4. Then come on back on the 8 to shop for some new treasures! This is a fantastic opportunity for our church to raise funds and also provide outreach to the nearby community. Read More
God's Vision For Your Life Class     
A short-term class that will help you discover your spiritual gifts and help you understand how God created you and uniquely equipped you for service. Led by SDSU professor, Larry Beck, the class meets four times on Tuesday evenings in the Disciple room at 6:30 pm from Oct. 6-27. Read more and register online
A New Year of Women at the Well    
Mark the second Monday of the month on your calendars now to reserve the nights starting at 5:30 for Women at the Well. Meet in King Hall for a great catered meal with a group gathering for friendship and to hear from professional speakers on topics of faith and formation. The first dinner is October 12. Read More

Women's Retreat: A Few Spots Left    
The women's retreat will be Oct. 2-4 in Temecula at the Vina de Lestonnac retreat center and there are still a few spaces available. There is also the option to only come up for the day on Saturday. Bake Cookies for the Next Kairos Retreat   
The Foothills Kairos missionaries will be heading to RJ Donovan prison to share the word and the hope of God with the inmates there. There are many ways to be a part of the mission, chief among them being the baking of cookies which are a strong invitational element of the retreat. Cookies needed on 10/25. Read More
A New Series of FX: Family eXperience  
FX is a new way to experience faith together as a family. Sign up to bring a potluck item on October 4 at 11:45 am, and play fun and inventive games to help learn about the spiritual virtue of individuality: discovering who you are meant to be, so that you can make a difference. Read More
German Choir Performance, Needs Housing 
On October 23 at 7 pm, Foothills is pleased to present a visiting youth choir from Einbeck Germany in concert in the Sanctuary. Everyone is invited to enjoy this special event. We are also in need of hosts for the youth and their families while they are in San Diego. If you can provide a place for them, contact Carol Paton
Discover Foothills on September 27    
Want to learn more about our church and how to get connected through ministries and groups? Gather Sunday, Sept. 27 at noon for a complimentary lunch to ask questions and get to know the pastors more. This is geared towards providing new and prospective members with more information on Foothills. Read More
United Methodist Men's Dinner, Sept. 22
The new season of UMM dinners will begin on September 22 and continue on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Make a point to be in this fellowship group for truly great food and conversations. This month's special guest is Steve Denton of the Maritime Leadership non profit and a tall ship owner and operator. Read More
Join the Year-Long Bridge Marathon   
Beginning on September 22 and meeting on the 4th Tuesday of each month, the bridge marathon plays an 8 month long tournament. The buy in is only $35, with most of that going towards charity and some going to prizes. Join in this fun and beneficial activity. Contact Beth Ott to sign up. Read More
Acolyte Trainings through September    
All children in grades 4 and 5 who are interested in becoming an acolyte, please contact Carol Paton through the church office. Acolytes in training will sit in church with current, experienced acolytes during the summer to see how this ministry, which brings the light of Christ to our worship, is conducted. Read More
