Volunteers needed to keep church campus safe
About a year ago, more than three vehicles were broken into in our church parking lot during worship hours. People's belongings were stolen. Foothills responded by putting together a group of men and women to "host" our parking lot and help guests find their way around the campus on Sunday mornings while keeping a watchful eye on our campus. Since then, we haven't had any reports of break-ins. Just the presence of church members in orange vests in our parking lot has provided a sense of security, comfort and hospitality. Now we are in need of more volunteers!
A parking lot host chooses one Sunday a month to walk the parking lot during the worship service opposite of the one they regularly attend. They team with another church member and help guide cars to parking spots, help people find their way around the campus, provide hospitality and walk the campus during the worship hour. This is a great way to meet members of our church that attend a different worship service as you do, as well as help make Foothills safe and create a welcoming environment.
