4/28: Open to the public (Youth Center 8 - 10 am)

Located at Foothills United Methodist Church in La Mesa, Foothills Preschool is a fun and enriching place for children as well as a quick and convenient location for East County San Diego families in the La Mesa, Spring Valley, Rancho San Diego and Mt. Helix areas.

Pre-school Schedule

Early Bird Before School Care   8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
 Morning Session                            9:00 a.m. - Noon
Lunch Bunch                                  Noon - 1:00 p.m.
Afternoon Session                          1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Stay & Play After School Care         Noon - 4:00 p.m. 



Enrichment Classes Offered

Foothills' Pre-school is excited to offer new enrichment classes for our Pre-school children. We offer the following fun and involving classes from 1pm - 2pm: on Tuesdays, an Art Class with Ms. Vicci Golojuch; on Wednesdays, a Spanish Class with Ms. Colombina Wilson; and on Thursdays, a 'Wee Dance' Class with Ms. Lorraine. Wee Dance is a music and movement class which is designed for both boys and girls. Classes meet once a week. For more information, call Ruth Phillips at 670-4024.

About the Pre-school

Foothills' Pre-school has been serving the community for 40 years now and we strive to offer a very high quality program where:

Children from two-years-of-age to six-years-of-age will find small classes taught by Early Childhood Professionals who truly care about each child and offer exciting learning opportunities in all areas of curriculum.

Parents are considered our partners in learning and many parents are involved in our school in a variety of ways.

  

Our staff is exceptional and they go out of their way to relate to your child knowing how important the first school experiences are.

The Foothills' program offers two, three and five Day Morning classes from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and two or three Day Afternoon classes from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. We also offer some before and after school care at our Extended Day Program.  
 
In our recently renovated building, the Foothills' Preschool offers an inviting and stimulating environment that will enhance your child's learning experience. Our program provides opportunities for your child to grow in all areas including:

Spiritual Awareness

The Foothills' Pre-school staff is qualified by education, experience and personality to work with young children. All of our staff participate in a continuous program of in-service training and studies for professional advancement. All teachers attend monthly staff meetings and are required to turn in and post their weekly lesson plans. In addition, all of our staff receive regular reviews and are governed by the Foothills Personnel Policies.
