Common Ground is in Need of Dresses and Toiletries
Please donate all those tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion you have collected from your travels to the Common Ground ministry. We are making gift bags for each of the young girls who attend the Common Ground tea parties. You can bring your items to the church office. Some of the girls who will attend the Common Ground tea parties this spring do not have appropriate dresses to wear. We are collecting gently worn or new party dresses to be given to the young girls, so that everyone can feel special when they sit down to tea. Short dresses in Girls sizes 10 - 16 can be dropped off at the church office.
Moses Project in Need of Sewing Kits
Our Moses Project is in great need of more Moses beds. We have three
different hospitals asking for the beds. If you have some completed
Moses Bed sewing kits, please return them to the church as soon as you
can. If you wish to help sew Moses Bed kits, or help the Moses Project
with donations, please contact Clarice Utt at 619-463-7454. A Moses Bed can save the life of a small child.Expo Dry Erase Markers Needed for Teachers
Common Ground is seeking donations of Expo brand Dry Erase Markers for the teachers of our Common Ground schools. The goal is to collect at least 150 markers. You can purchase them at any office supply, art or craft store. Studies show that blue and green are the easiest to read, but they will accept black markers as well. You can drop off the markers in the Common Ground wagon on Sunday mornings or in the church office during the week. Contact Theresa Erb at 619-670-4009 if you have questions. Thank you for your generosity.
Good Neighbor Center needs food donations
Debbie Raysin, the director at Good Neighbor Center (GNC), says that
FOOD is their NUMBER 1 NEED. Over 2,000 people a month come to GNC
at Chollas View for food, and the Good Neighbor Center at Nestor
receives requests from over 800 people a month. Please bring your
contributions of non-perishable food items and place them in the Good
Neighbor red wagon on any Sunday. For more information, call Joanna
Schwend or Don Jenkinson.
