Following are some of Foothills' immediate needs. Please prayerfully consider helping.

Drivers

Drivers are needed to occasionally transport the youth and other groups to church activities and events off campus. This volunteer will drive the church van, and is required to have a class B license with a passenger transportation endorsement. If you can help or have any questions please contact Carrie in the church office.

Meal Providers

The Pastoral Care team is looking for volunteers to prepare meals and make deliveries to people and families in our congregation after they have had a hospital stay. The commitment is approximately one meal per month. Contact Jeanette Ham by email or call the church office at 619-670-4009.

Front Office Volunteers

Church office workers and substitutes are needed. We are looking for friendly faces to greet people, answer phones and help the staff with projects. Currently, we have an opening on Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. Substitutes are always needed to work from 9:00 a.m. until noon, noon until 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. It’s a great way to get to know the church staff and see what goes on behind-the-scenes. La Roca Ministry and Community Center in Tijuana

Every third Thursday a team goes to La Roca and helps with a variety of projects, from simple cleaning to more involved construction. The team meets at 7:00 a.m. in the church parking lot and usually returns between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.  Volunteers must have a passport and bring a snack, water and work gloves. Contact Rev. Meals-on-Wheels

Foothills sponsors two full routes of meal deliveries for Meals-on-Wheels. The commitment can be monthly or weekly and the requirement is two hours from pick-up of meals, meal delivery and return of coolers to pick-up spot. Optimally, two people deliver together as driver and navigator. Contact Rev. Parking Lot Hosts

These individuals provide hospitality and security during worship hours (8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.)  A host provides help in the parking lot for guests and those with physical needs as well as security of property during worship. Hosts become the ‘first-contact’ for many and are the face of Foothills as a welcoming church.  Contact Rev.
