February Sermon Series: Lighten Up!
2/12: Deailng With Our Hearts
2/19: Compassion is Easier
2/26: Don't Just Do Something - Sit There!

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket.

February 12: We all have been hurt. Sometimes we are open about it, most times we hide our hurts until our sensitive spot gets touched; then we may respond out of our unresolved wounded-ness. In this sermon we will look at Jesus; teaching and how we can move beyond our hurt and anger to a better place.

February 19: You have heard it said, an eye for any and a tooth for a tooth... The history of God's relationship with humanity (or the humanity's relationship with God) has been an evolution in relationship. In this sermon we will consider the movement humanity has made from the ancient eye for an eye era to the present day. And what is next?

February 26: The transfiguration of Jesus is a mystical moment in the Gospel story. We find mystical moments in our lives, too. There are times when it is better for us to "take it all in" than it is to move into action.
