United Methodist Women Wednesday, May16, 6 pm in King Hall. All Women are invited to join United Methodist Women and our MomsConnect group for an evening of All Things Chocolate. Enjoy a catered meal and a variety of gourmet chocolate desserts. This "sweet" event is a chance for women to meet and mingle. We'll also make a simple craft to say thank you to our Avocado School teachers and share with our Meals on Wheels clients. Cost for the delicious dinner is $15.
The United Methodist Women organization has deep roots and a powerful mission focus in The United Methodist Church. The organization has more than one million members worldwide. It is organized for the purpose of supporting mission projects locally and globally, providing Christian education for its members, and developing leadership skills for women. At Foothills, members of UMW meet in small groups called circles for fellowship and study, and as a larger group for monthly meetings and programs. There are two ways you can participate in United Methodist Women. One way is through the monthly Sarah/Ruth circle small group, that meets every first Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and the other is through our monthly UMW meetings and dinners, which are typically on the third Tuesday of the month. The purpose of UMW is to know God, develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to participate in local and global ministries of the church.
Foothills Men's Fellowship The men of Foothills meet to discuss matters pertinent to the church and community and to find a way to best serve in ministry. This group usually meets for breakfast once a quarter on Saturdays.
Foothills Fellowship Luncheon Foothills Fellowship Lunch is a quarterly social gathering to get acquainted with others Foothillians. Each month the group enjoys a delicious lunch and an interesting program. The program meets quarterly on the 2nd Wednesday at 11:45 am in King Hall. The cost is $3. The main course is provided and all attendees are welcome to bring a side dish, appetizer or dessert. Come and enjoy this great fellowship atmosphere and share in a meal and discussion with friends.
