Sparking a Climate Revolution Retreat The United Methodist Church, top-scientists in Southern California and climate response organizations are teaming up to develop a Christian response to the crisis of climate change! Join us at Sparking a Climate Revolution! - a retreat conference in the San Bernardino Mountains on October 26, 27 & 28! Become part of a network of motivated church leaders who make a difference!
The cost is $200/person for the entire event, BUT, WAIT! We have breaking news: we just got a major grant to provide scholarships, particularly for young adults, although others can apply as well. This means that you can come even if you can’t afford the full cost! Just tell us how much you can pay and we will pay the rest! To get a scholarship, contact Deb Shepherd-Webster at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible – once the money runs out, the price will go back up to full fare. Don’t wait!
It only takes a spark to get a fire going – help us to create a spark that can’t be drowned out! Help us to make the United Methodist Church a leader in this movement, showing the world that responding to climate change in Christ-like compassion is the way to go!

United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women organization has deep roots and a powerful mission focus in The United Methodist Church. The organization has more than one million members worldwide. It is organized for the purpose of supporting mission projects locally and globally, providing Christian education for its members, and developing leadership skills for women. At Foothills, members of UMW meet in small groups called circles for fellowship and study, and as a larger group for monthly meetings and programs. There are two ways you can participate in United Methodist Women. One way is through the monthly Sarah/Ruth circle small group, that meets every first Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and the other is through our monthly UMW meetings and dinners, which are typically on the third Tuesday of the month. The purpose of UMW is to know God, develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to participate in local and global ministries of the church.
