As the ministries continue to grow at our Good Shepherd Ministry Center, we present the following list of needs and ask you to consider how you are called to volunteer in these areas:

Bethlehem Food Pantry Shopping – There is a new opportunity to grocery shop for food at the SD Food Bank's warehouse in Mira Mesa. Pretend you are a contestant on “Supermarket Sweep” as you embark on a 45-minute shopping spree where you can buy food for the pantry for a mere 19 cents a pound. A short training is required. After that, regular shopping appointments are made at your convenience. WARNING: If you love saving money and shopping, you might become addicted to this experience!

Bethlehem Food Pantry Landscaping – Do you watch “Curb Appeal” on HGTV? Well, it is time to beautify the front yard of the pantry to make it more inviting to the neighborhood. Would you like to be on the committee to design and implement this project? We have funds -- we just need a vision and many green thumbs. WARNING: You may be so excited about the landscaping results that you may want to work on the two neighboring properties!

Shepherd’s Closet – Do you remember the show "What Not to Wear" on TLC? Volunteers are needed in the closet on Saturday mornings to help our guests find just the right shirt or jacket. Also, there is always a mannequin set up outside the closet that needs to be styled with an outfit worthy of Stacy and Clinton's approval. Donations are still greatly needed! Clean out your closets and get rid of anything that no longer brings you joy because chances are, it will bring joy to our guests. WARNING: The donated clothing is so great, you might want to take some home with you!
