Aloha Pastor Eric
June 11 will be Foothills' final Sunday with Pastor Eric, so we are having a grand celebration of his service and skills. There will be only one hour of worship at 10 am and it will be in the theme and season of Aloha that Eric brought to us each summer. Be with your Foothills family as we say aloha and a ton of mahalo to both Eric and Karen, who have given so much to this church. An opportunity to donate to a gift fund will be forthcoming.
Refugee Health Kits
Help care for refugees in mexico by donating simple toiletry items. Donations are being collected by our United Methodist Women until June 4. They will assemble them into kits and distribute them to refugees and immigrants who are struggling in the streets and shelters of Tijuana. Click here to see the list of items needed and what you can provide.
Administrative Council, May 21
Admin council is held quarterly for members and congregants to gather with the administrative arm of the church, hear progress reports on important matters and vote on the future direction of the church. The meeting will be held in King Hall on 5/21 at 6:30 pm and a complimentary dessert will be provided. All members of the church are encouraged to attend.
Celebrating Our Graduates
Send the names of your high school, college or other higher education graduate to Sue Ranck by June 7, so that we can lift their great accomplishments in church and pray for all they will do. Be sure and include their full name, the school they are graduating from and their degree.
Pastor Transfers
The United Methodist Church is transferring Pastor Eric to St. Andrew's By the Sea and placing a new pastor at Foothills, beginning July 1. Click here for the last emails about the transfer

Children's Summer Camp 2017
The theme for this year's week long summer camp (Vacation Bible School) is 'Maker Fun Factory -- Created By God; Built For A Purpose!' It's only $40 and there is a special deal: bring a friend who has never been to Foothills' VBS before and you and the friend get to register for $20 each! Registration forms will be available April 16 at church. Online registration is open through this link. Contact Lisa Stewart for any questions or to register
FUMY (youth) Sunday!
This year's youth Sunday falls on May 21. Be sure to be in worship on this wonderfully motivating and inventive Sunday morning. Hear the message from this year's graduating seniors, music from the youth praise band and a take on Foothills worship through the vision of the entire youth group. The youth will take over both hours of worship at 8:30 and 10:30 am.
Youth Summer Camps at Cedar Glen
The summer camps at Cedar Glen are at the very least a wonderfully-fun experience, but we often hear that they are transformative for the youth that attend. Camps are available for youth aged lower elementary up through senior high to get away for a week to a camp in Julian that has tons of activities and programs put together by the United Methodist Church to bring everyone closer together and closer in Christ.
