There will be some special music on 1/31 during the 8:30 service. Rita Folsom will provide the Gathering and cellist Jennifer Epler joins the Chancel Choir for the anthem, "This Little Light of Mine," among other pieces. This music is sure to enhance the message of United Methodist Women Sunday!
Sunday 1/31 is United Methodist Women Sunday. Wear red to support the largest mission group of the greater United Methodist Church and come hear what they do locally and nationally.  Guest preacher Angela Price from Palmdale UMC will be with us with a sermon focusing on the issue of human trafficking. 
The next meeting of the Brewing Faith group will be 2/3 at 6:30 at the Hooley's Irish Pub in Grossmont Center. Have discussions of faith with friends and Pastor Eric in a casual environment. 
Each year on S(o)uper Bowl Sunday, we host a canned food drive to fill the pantries of the Good Neighbor Center. Set aside some canned goods and bring them with you to Foothills on 2/7.
Take an opportunity to learn about Foothills and see if it is the right place for you. Or invite a friend to this introductory luncheon after church on 2/21 at 12 pm, with Pastors Jeanette and Eric. More 
The annual celebration of Foothills members who have reached the milestone of 50 years of marriage will be on 2/13 at 11 am in King Hall. Celebrate in love together.
The Fiji mission team is hosting another pancake breakfast at Applebee's to raise money for their summer trip. Head to the Rancho San Diego Applebee's on 2/27 at 8 am. Read More
The Cal-Pac South District of the United Methodist church is hosting a four-man team golf tournament on 1/29 in Eastlake to raise money for the Imagine No Malaria campaign. Read More 
Participate in providing communion to families separated by migration at the U.S. Mexico border on 2/28 from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. Pastor Jeanette will lead a group leaving from Foothills in the morning. Read More 
Foothills will host the Interfaith Shelter for two weeks from 1/30 to 2/13. This is an opportunity for to help deserving individuals and families find a way back to self-reliance. Much volunteer help is needed for this effort. Find out how to serve 
This UMW group meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday to make small crafts for events at Foothills. Take part in this and other great small group opportunities in 2016!
The South Coast Chamber Choir will be at Foothills on Sunday, 1/31 at 4pm. Tickets will be available in early January. Adults - $15, Military and Seniors - $10.
