Thank You, From Etheleen Glismann
Today, over eight months since David passed away, I was reading once more the many cards and notes of condolence sent by you, the membrs of Foothills. I can't tell you how much your cards and ntoes of love and understanding and your prayers meant at that time. Today, I have been blessed again! The book we are studying in the Foothills' grief class, "Understanding Your Grief," contains wonderful words of wisdom and reality and direction. Here is my favorite quote: "The essence of finding meaning in the future is not to forget my past... For it is in listening to the music of the past that I can sing in the present and dance in the future." For those who knew David and were familiar with his wonderful voice, and the zest with which he sang, know why those words mean so much to me. Here is another quote that was highlighted in David's Bible, "I will sing a new song to thee, O God." (Psalm 144:9) Those words are engraved on David's headstone.
My love and appreciation to you all. -Etheleen
