GSMC & Feeding San Diego & Leah's Pantry
If you're curious how Good Shepherd has grown so rapidly, this article from Feeding San Diego shows how our Bethlehem food pantry coordinators have created many, strategic partnerships, to ensure that they can meet the broadest possible need in El Cajon. Click here for the article

Draw the Circle Wide Live
Pastor Greg is rebooting the Lenten Bible Study for our current times. The theme of Lent has been including the outsider. Join Greg on our Facebook live stream, Wednesdays at 6:30 pm to dive deeper into the characters, parables and allusions to our modern times. Ask questions on the feed and have them answered live. There's no need for a Facebook account or to be logged in to watch, but you will need one to interact.
GSMC Food Drop off Times
If you can spare any of your provisions during this crisis, GSMC is in great need of more food, especially pasta. There is increased demand and decreased supplies from our partners. Staff is available for food donation drop offs at the following times:
Monday: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Wednesday: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Virtual MomsConnect
The Foothills MomsConnect group is a support and fellowship group for mothers of children of all ages. On Wednesday April 1, they will meet via Zoom for a mommy-alone hour of fun and maybe some commiserating. To get the access numbers for the meeting, contact Susie Melody.
Be Aware of Scams
It's sad to say, but the prevalence of scams is increasing lately. This is a reminder that the church leadership will never ask you to do anything (besides volunteer for a committee). We are contacting the entire congregation, but only to say hi and see how you're doing. Treat anything else with caution. If you could use a primer, here is our first article on avoiding scams and here is our follow up.

Community Sourced Ways to Help
Our normal avenues of philanthropy and mission may have been cut off by this virus, but new paths for helping your neighbors are starting to open up. If you are looking for a way to support your neighbors in need, and are reasonably tech savvy, then download the 'Nextdoor' App and get involved with their recently deployed "Help Map." Get goods, groceries or do basic repairs for our friends and neighbors who are also stuck in isolation.
