Worship at Foothills

3/24: 3rd Sunday of Lent
Enduring Love: Mercy
Rev. Greg Batson
Psalm 63:1-8 and Luke 13:1-9
In today's reading from the Gospel of Luke, Jesus shares with his disciples the Parable of the Fig Tree. When the owner of the vineyard threatens to cut down the unproductive tree, the gardener intervenes and requests that it be given another season to bear fruit. So too does Christ intervene on our behalf when we are not producing in our own season. Christ's mercy is provided for all.
